From Baleyworld to Trantor, Celebrating Wanxiang’s 50th and PlatON’s 1st Anniversary
The year of 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of Wanxiang Group. From a small producer of agricultural machinery to a transnational multi-billion dollar conglomerate, Wanxiang has achieved great progress in industries like agriculture, automotive components, new energy, AI, etc., in half a century. Since the cooperation started from the official release of PlatON in Jul, 2018, Wanxiang has shown great support on the development of technology, and the exploration of use cases, to PlatON. PlatON provides the most comprehensive solution to safeguard the data privacy with blockchain combined leading cryptographic technologies on the collabrating with Wanxiang Blockchain Labs, an open and professional platform for interaction and communication of blockchain technologies powered by Wanxiang Holdings.
From Baleyworld to Trantor, PlatON and Wanxiang Blockchain have gained vital achievements in Big Data, 5G, IoT and smart city ecosystem.
PlatON, as one of the first members for the joint innovation center, provides the blockchain-based infrastructure for IoT and Blockchain Joint Innovation Center jointly founded by China Unicom IoT and Wanxiang Blockchain to address the security issue within connected devices by using a verifiable, secure and permanent method for recording data while keep all data and interacting devices safe in IoT. IoT and Blockchain Joint Innovation Center will incubate and service fields like Industry 4.0, smart city, Supply Chain Finance, New Retail, smart home, etc.
PlatON has also collaborated with Wanxiang on co-developing the data infrastructure for the biggest smart city project in China, in what is expected to be China’s most interconnected, blockchain-powered smart city, which uses PlatON’s blockchain-based platform serving as the city’s technological backbone.
