On Jul.25, 2019, OSEW (Open Source Enclaves Workshop) 2019 was hosted in UC Berkeley. Distinguished experts, professors and entrepreneurs worldwide gathered to share the latest development of building open source, secure and high-performing Enclaves. Leo Lin, Chief Innovation Officer of PlatON, CEO and founder of aitos.io, attended this forum and introduced the BoAT solution of PlatON.

In the keynote section, Leo shared his view about AIoT deeply with prestigious experts from top institutions and enterprises like UC Berkeley, Google, ARM, Intel, NVIDIA, VISA, Oasis Labs, HTC, etc in his speech of ‘BoAT: Future Entry of AIoT’.

‘According to the latest ‘Worldwide Internet of Things Infrastructure Forecast’ from IDC, as the 5G era is approaching, the global data volume will reach 175 ZB by 2025, among which more than 50% are generated from IoT devices. There will be around 40 billion IoT devices, which is 5 times of the global population. And the explosive growth of IoT data will be the biggest data source of IoT industry. It is obvious that data privacy-preserving is becoming more and more important for us.

In the past 12 months, as one of the start-ups incubated by PlatON, aitos.io, PlatON’s decentralized oracle machine, has been dedicated to offering the trusted identify authentication and privacy-preserving data computation solution for enterprises of AIoT, providing blockchain developers the infrastructure to access the data from physical world, execute the data privacy computation, and to connect IoT with the physical world. Decentralized oracle machine means a lot for the application and commerce of blockchain. By connecting the data from trusted physical world with blockchain network, aitos.io ensures that the data applied in DApp will by no means be tampered during the whole life circle.’ Leo introduced the AIoT solution of aitos.io.

As for the open source technology, Leo said, Keystone, the free open source project created by UC Berkeley, has profound potential for the development of IoT and blockchain with the innovation and collaboration of its open source community.
