PlatON cooperated with HashQuark
to protect the Cosmos Public Blockchain Ecology by using KeyShard service
Recently, PlatON teamed up with HashQuark, the technical service platform of Staking, to deploy KeyShard, the Key Management Service (KMS) in the Cosmos test network to help improve HashQuark’s Service capability as the Cosmos genesis node. The deployment of the system will help achieve verifying preventing key leakage in the event of an intrusion.
KeyShard was officially launched by PlatON in March 2019. Based on the MPC threshold signature technology, the service divides the private keys into different shards by means of cryptographic algorithm, which can be distributed in the hands of private key holders, background service providers and other participants. In practical business, the private key signature is realized through the collaborative processing of private key shards. In addition, the real information of the private key cannot be obtained from any single shard, thus greatly improving the security of the private key in the network.
PlatON and HashQuark reached a strategic cooperation in January this year to jointly create the first escort mining pool based on MPC(Secure Multi-Party Computation) technology. This time, the two parties combined again and complemented each other, further promoting the improvement and progress of the key management system in the field of privacy computation, and bringing new vitality to the Cosmos public blockchain ecology. Shortly after the test network verification is successful, KeyShard will officially be deployed in the HashQuark genesis node on Cosmos.
